Love it or hate it, the “American Idol” phenomenon has proven there are plenty of exceptional singers scattered around the United States. But as contestants belt out cover tunes and hit all the right notes night after night, how many actually make you feel something when they sing?
Not many, right?

From his first performance at a school assembly in kindergarten, people immediately took notice of Triplett’s soulful pipes. And there’s a reason for that—one that goes far beyond performance technique. It’s because when he sings, you actually believe every word he says.

Reared in a strong Christian family, Triplett grew up on a steady diet of Gospel music that included Mahalia Jackson, James Cleveland and Shirley Caesar. Like the singers of his youth, Triplett also gravitates toward heartfelt songs that praise his Creator and offer solace to the hurting.
But before he’d pen the songs for his album, Triplett wasn’t always sure about his calling. “I have always dreamed of singing professionally, but I didn’t think it was a realistic goal for me,” Triplett says. “I actually spent my first two years in college rather undecided about my future.”

Thankfully, that phase didn’t last long. After reading a book titled Think Big, Triplett felt peace about pursuing a singing career. Soon after his decision, Triplett was hired to sing demos for performance tracks by Omega Sound Studio in Ft. Smith, Arkansas.

After graduating from college, Triplett moved to Arlington, Texas, where he received the “Unsung Singers” promotional award given by Kirk Franklin and Fo Yo Soul Productions. He has made several television appearances for Trinity Broadcasting in Oklahoma City, Atlanta and Chattanooga.

Triplett currently has a new single titled "Keep Your Eyes On Me" available for download on iTunes and Amazon. Now with the anticipated release of his "My Everything," Triplett plans to continue his artistic journey and pursue opportunities to introduce his music to a wider audience.

“For those who haven’t heard my music yet, it’s not limited to a certain group. It’s a blend of gospel, pop and soul that reflects artists like Fred Hammond and Israel Houghton,” Triplett adds. “But even more important to me than being musically diverse is ministry. I want to effectively communicate the Gospel through my music—simple as that.”

Kendall Triplett supporters will be pleased to know that My Everything will be available for digital download in January. CDs will also be sold at CDBaby.com. With songs titles like "Closer," "Awesome," "Lose Myself," and "Just Believe," this urban inspirational project promises to lift your spirits and encourage your heart. My Everything features the single "Keep Your Eyes On Me" along with nine other distinctive tracks, including four original songs by Triplett and two remixes. Co-produced by Grammy nominated and Dove Award winner Antonio Neal and Grammy nominated Anthony C. Bell, My Everything boasts a guest appearance by singer/songwriter Mike Winans of the well-known gospel music family. Winans, Neal and Bell each pen a song, as does songwriter Delisha Thomas. Thomas was nominated for a Grammy for co-writing Beyonce's "Deja Vu." She has also written for Justin Beiber, Janet Jackson, Kierra Sheard and Virtue just to name a few. Other notable producers on this CD include Shawn Rey Smith (Patti Labelle, Kelly Price), Kyle Lovett (Mighty Clouds of Joy, The Clark Sisters, Karima Kibble), Roderick Forte (Keith Wonderboy Johnson) and Marcus Perry (Benita Washington).
